What can I do in Initiate?

Being able to play with only 1 other person kills my mood for ranked. Not the greatest myself, my partner plays Rem and support. I go with Warden, Victor or Krill. But nobody talks in this rank, or trys to make plans. Enemy always feels better. Scrub post, I am very aware of that, but what are things I can be doing better here that can boost me up?
