Me [30M] Gf[24] Have you ever dated someone who genuinely just… didn’t know how to be in a relationship?
I don’t necessarily mean someone toxic, abusive, or a bad person.
I mean someone who seemed to genuinely have **no idea how to act once they were actually in a relationship**.
Like they could flirt, date, and get into one perfectly fine, but once it became serious they didn’t understand things like boundaries, keeping the relationship a secret.
Sometimes it feels like people expect relationships to just “work” without ever learning how to actually be a partner.
Curious about other people’s experiences:
* What was the thing they did that made you realise, “Oh, this person genuinely does not know how relationships work”?
* Where’s the line between being patient with someone who is learning and basically having to raise your partner?
* What’s something about being a good boyfriend/girlfriend/partner that you think people weirdly have to be taught?
TLDR: I think its cooked.
