Did I have a thunderclap headache?
37, male, 6ft, 215 pounds, issue first occurred 35 hours ago.
So, yesterday morning I was working on tax documents on my computer, when suddenly I had an intense pain in the side of my neck that then quickly shot up through the base of my skull, up around the upper side of my head, and then behind my eye. It pretty much immediately became like a migraine headache. I have a couple regular migraines each year but I usually wake up with them.
I eventually went to urgent care, and the doctor prescribed me some triptan medication and gave me a toradol shot, which helped immensely.
Today, I still have some of the pain in the same areas, but heavily reduced. The areas are sensitive to the touch. Definitely hurt when I cough or sneeze. Badly.
Was this a thunderclap headache, or something else?
