Vanicream facial moisturizer stings, would the Vanicream face wash do the same?

So Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer stings my face (generalized stinging, not POD spots). If anyone else has experienced that with the moisturizer, could you tell me if the Vanicream face wash did the same to you? Looking for a POD safe face wash. I’m currently using Prequel’s glycerin face wash/gleanser if anyone knows if that’s “safe”.

I’m currently going on month 3 of a POD flare-up. I tried the Vanicream facial moisturizer in the past since the ingredients were unlikely to clog my clogged-pore prone skin, but it stung. I wouldn’t say my skin is all that sensitive so I’m not sure why it stung. Anyway, I’m looking for a POD friendly face wash because even though this flare-up isn’t as bad as ones in the past, it’s just not going away. I’ve only had it twice before. First time was in 2021 when I started Yaz oral contraceptive and it resolved as soon as I stopped it 3 months later. Then it happened in 2023 around the same time of year (Jan, Feb, March) so my best guess was “winter weather” despite living in a fairly mild year-round climate. I don’t recall changing much during my last flare-up beyond stopping my actives & using De La Cruz sulfur once a day.
