As the title states, I am desperately trying to figure out the player mentality I guess as a whole. Primarily though, the “it’s everyone else’s fault”.

*To preface this, I believe 3 of my team were queued together.* They started with insults pretty early on and I’m not going to really complain about that because I haven’t played much in a while and I shouldn’t have hopped straight into comp. BUT with that being said, why exactly does full blame get pitted on myself? While both DPS did considerably high damage, one ended the match with a staggering 25 deaths with a majority that could have been avoided if they would have just stepped back a little and not been in front at all times.

**Then there’s the Mercy.**

The Mercy is the initiator of the insults in the first place. I spent a considerable amount of the game being healed by the Bap while the Pharah and Mercy were glued together most likely due to being queued. Even then though. Missing the 10k heal mark when both teams went 6 and 6 for objectives and had to fight over the 7th is insane to me.

As I said, I haven’t played much in quite a while. Months. So by no means am I perfect and by no means did I play perfect. I have been one tricking Ram for most of the time I did play, so this game having him ban threw me for a loop and I played based on suggestions. I know a simple answer is because they were queued together. But this seems to always be a problem in Overwatch. No matter how well one might perform, blame is pitted on them because there’s no accountability. A DPS could have 13k and go 0-17, and they would be certain to pin blame on a sup. Why?

***TLDR: Trying to understand the logic of pinning blame instead of just taking accountability for having a bad game.***
