Am I missing the point by preferring the more slice of life aspects of Land of the Lustrous?

What it says on the tin. I love the aesthetic of LOTL as well as the concepts but the story goes in a way that I dislike. It becomes very phos-centred instead of focusing on the struggles of all the gems. There’s a lot of lost potential.

I wish it was a slice of life series. But I know many people prefer it this way
