Ripping a vine off a tree bare handed!!!

So a friend saw me ripping a vine off a tree by hand, and yelled stop that is poison ivy. I never had a reaction. Zero not even a small itch. My guess is that it actually is not a poison Ivy but rather something similar? Or I am not allergic to poison Ivy. Any thoughts? Anyone out their immune to the affects of poison Ivy?
