Help with short row shaping
Hello r/knittinghelp
i am in need of your assistance with a knitting pattern. I am attempting the edelweiss pull over from cordelia vor, and i am stuck on the neck short row shaping. i have followed the directions in the pattern and both results do not remotely look similar to the neckline in the pattern. Is someone able to explain how i am suppose to do the shaping rows?
i have attempted 2 versions of this and both versions place heavier short rows in the front by the little m(midway marker).
Attempt 1: following exactly and connecting the numbers, and attempt 2: using German short rows, M(beginning of round) to 1 RS; 1 to 2 but all the way around past, M then to 2 WS; 2 to 3 by going all the way back to past 3 and M to 3 RS; then 3 to 4 going past 4 and M, on WS; then finally 4 to M on RS. both attempts of these short rows look incorrect.
Thus i am seeking some clarification. i have attempted looking ask 2 different AI's and reading any notes on rivalry and googling it to no avail. Is some able to explain it better than the diagram.?
