my campaign of 2 years just ended

For the last two years, me and a group of 4–6 people (depending on the week) would gather and just kinda throw shit at a wall until our DM threw us a bone. For the last two years, every Wednesday, I’d sit down at my computer and spend four hours just bullshitting with friends... and now it’s over.

The session ending was PHENOMENAL, of course, especially with the absurd homebrew things my DM, for some reason, let us have. All but one of the remaining four people became gods in the end after we slew the few who stood against our ascent, with me becoming the god of death.

I have nothing really useful to say here; this is more of just a reflection and a thanks to my DM. I am so incredibly blessed to have been able to play in this campaign, and despite my melancholy over no longer being able to play my longest-running character, I am so incredibly excited for whatever campaign comes next.

PS. It’s even sadder because, to date, this is the only campaign I’ve ever played in that actually came to a conclusion instead of just being cancelled.
