new to CC (newb sorta)

hello everyone! i hope there's someone out there that can help me lol. anyway, i am new to custom content and modding but i'm trying to start slow. i have chosen a couple cc files/packs and most of them (even newly updated ones) keep not allowing me to load out of CAS. its just put me on the loading screen forever. i've done everything i know how to do: i've removed the files, deleted the "localthumbcache.package" whenever adding/deleting cc, added one at a time from different packs and it just seems that 75% of the ones i try just don't work. I've tried some from curseforge, mundosims, patreon, one from tumblr etc. im at a loss and feeling so discouraged. is it a me problem or is there any setting to check? PLS HELP lol
