Does the same company have different interview difficulty across college tiers?

Same company, same SWE role, similar stipend.

Tier-2.5/3+ college: 1-2 rounds, easy DSA + basic CS.

Tier-1/2 college: 3-4 rounds, hard DSA + deep CS questions.

I know on-campus vs off-campus matters, but has anyone seen this gap with the exact same company?

Curious if this is a real pattern or just how it felt to me - share your experience.
