Taking ticket to court

I received a speeding ticket that I am not taking the settlement on and am taking to trial. Part of the settlement was to do a 6 hour defensive driving course. I am planning on completing this course and presenting it at court I am just curious if it makes a difference if I complete this course after the settlement deadline date but obviously before the trail hearing. Me completing it after the deadline would allow me to not miss work. I can call off to do it sooner I’m just not sure if that will affect the judges decision and I can’t really afford to be taking a lot of time off
