Diagnostic Lap with 2 young kids

I have had the surgeries before but that was before I had kids. Now that I have children, and have the option to be out on the waitlist for a diagnostic lap, I don’t know whether to go ahead. I don’t know how I’ll manage with them after surgery. They’re 2 and 7. My husband could take a few days off but not much. Same for my mum.

What have others done who have children? My youngest especially is very attached to me but I think I’d like to go ahead and get the surgery to see what they find. (Endo was found previously and removed - I fear it’s come back). My mum suffered a lot, she ended having a partial hysterectomy in her late 30s.
