ATK just released the Phantom last week, and I have received it for five days now. After moderate intensity use, I think maybe i should just make a quick review of it for the guys who r interested in it.

In short, if you prioritize performance, yes—this mouse is quite good and worth buying. If u r finding a ulx clone, maybe get someone else. I'll be honest if u r just chasing for the appearance of it, get it, it looks great.

Let's break into the specs first.

3955MASTER, NORDIC 54LM20. Literally the best specs in the current market. Battery life and sensor performance are impressive—after all, it comes from ATK at least a big brand big manufacturer so u don't need to worry about the tuning of the top tier specs. Glad to see that they get the Omron switches instead of FE's, buttons and the wheel feel great.

The mold is just fine. My hand is 20x10cm and I use claw. My current primary mouse is Lycan from G-Wolves. Phantom is a clone of ulx, so based solely on the mold, I would give it an 8/10. The grip feel is roughly similar to the size m ulx, but the lack of holes on the side panels makes it feel a bit odd. And the side panels seem to be shorter than ulx's, when extending the ring finger and little finger, the support seems somewhat insufficient.

In terms of the casing and appearance, it absolutely crushes ulx imo. It looks great, especially in the sand color. The perforated pattern looks much better than the honeycomb-style perforation. And the patterns on the side panels are good too. Most importantly, the casing strength is much better than the ulx. As you know, ulx is most notorious for its poor casing strength; older batches can even be a bit squishy. But phantom did a great job, lateral compression produces almost no deformation, pressing the very top results in only slight deformation. Coating is good, but I use grips. For this part it's 10/10.

Finally—and most importantly—there is the weight. 47g is really not a good weight for a lightweight mouse with holes. The one that I get is 47g with the OEM skates. Switch the skates to dots might be 2 grams lighter. Since you're aiming for lightweight, this weight is nothing short of a joke. Besides, you have the capability to produce even lighter weights—take the F1 V3, for example, a 38g mouse with a shell without holes. I understand it a compromise for the strength, phantom has a much thicker case, internal reinforcing ribs and conformal coating on the components. Yeah, it's disappointing.

I understand that, as a major company, you have far more consumer clients than a firm like FM or G-Wolves. Yes, he delivered a solid offering for the mass market—much better quality control and after-sales service, at the right price. For the customers genuinely seeking lightweight options, it is a massive disappointment.

It's a good mouse or product, but it's not a qualified lightweight mouse or ulx clone. Also, could there be less hype? The promotional campaign leading up to the official release is really annoying.

Thank u guys for reading :)
