Does anyone feel like they want to have someone from the same culture or background despite leaving Islam?

I’m 24M I left Islam a few years ago. I started living my life with no constraints and enjoying it without any baggage.

However now in the US I tried dating many ethnicities and origins, yet whenever I want to consider that someone from the same background might be the answer I remember the elephant in the room which is the assumption of following the same religion, for reference I’m originally from Morocco which isn’t super religious but still..
