Small dose of Ativan 1-3 times a week… possible withdrawal?

Please forgive me if this is a silly question but I can’t get a solid answer. I’ve been taking .5 mg of Ativan 1-3 times a week for the last year. Usually it’s once. Sometimes it’s twice. A bad week maybe 3 times and usually not two days in a row. Some weeks were skipped entirely.

I realized after taking it 3 times two weeks ago that I had really developed a mental dependency on this drug. My last dose was 9/10 so now I’ve gone 8 days without it and tbh I’ve felt like crap. My anxiety has been terrible, I’m having a hard time sleeping and I never even used it to sleep!

I’m wondering if the anxiety I’m experiencing is anxiety over the possibility of going through withdrawals or if I’m actually going through withdrawals. Because my anxiety is bad in general… clearly.

I guess I’m wondering if physical dependency and withdrawals are possible with this low of a dose and frequency. Most everything I read about is the drug was taken every day.

Again I’m sorry if this is a stupid question/concern or undermining to those dealing with benzo withdrawal.
