Gwen's Dreams

I recently watched Black Phone(2022). I really enjoyed the movie. The Jumpscares were really good, and the acting was also top notch, especially by the actor of the actor Finn. I also found the idea of previous victims calling to help the current victim, excellent. It was also nice to see that unlike Sinister 1, the antagonist wasn't too OP.

What I found a little weird though, was the little significance of the dreams that Gwen was having. In the end, the only thing the dreams seemed to achieve, was the expedited discovery of the victims' bodies. I mean Finn had already killed the Graber. He was free, and the police would've eventually found the other property by linking it to graber's identity.

Hence, Gwen's dreams, even though quite impressive, seemed to achieve little in the end. What do you think? Were her powers underutilized in 2022 movie?
