Would this game work if it were set in the current day?

Thinking how different it'd be. Unlike the 90s you can't hotwire cars easily, and now few people own portable radios. So it'd harder to get skill information and level electronics.

But in the days after the apocalypse, you could still access the Internet so can level skills on youtube. So maybe I'd still work out okay?
