It is the season of clean edges, of the harvest coming in and the unnecessary being allowed to fall away. It rewards people who are ready to decide what to keep. You may feel it in your mood as well as the weather, because metal carries a quiet thread of grief in it, the good kind, the kind that comes from finally seeing a whole year in perspective.
