Is it stil necessary to learn coding in depth?

English isn’t my first language, so please excuse any

AI coding ability is really powerful.

I am making my own little game,and im not major in computer science but i can write a little bit python, so it is quite easy to learn gdscript for me.

At first, i will coding myself for the game basic functions,until i wanna coding a shader,godot shader’s language is similar to c++,but i haven’t learned about c++, so i ask gpt to help me to make the shader.After that,im totally addicted to use codex for my program.

But after a week has gone,the script is totally change even that i couldn’t understand it.The whole develop process like a black box it make me feel anxiety and feel uneasy.

But i still doubt myself that i won’t be as powerful as
AI，is it necessary for me to learn coding in depth?

It makes me wonder: I know how to drive a car, but do I really need to know how the engine works?
