I've been working on a small open-source project called IaCLineage, and I've reached the point where I'd really like feedback from people using Terraform on actual projects.

The idea is pretty simple: point it at a Terraform project and it helps you understand how declarations and fields are connected.

For example, if you're looking at a resource field and wondering:
• Where is this value/reference coming from?
• What else depends on this?
• Which module/resource/variable is connected to it?
• Where exactly is that reference in the source?

IaCLineage lets you trace those relationships upstream or downstream.

It has a CLI, and I've also added an interactive HTML report where you can search declarations, select individual fields, and explore their lineage.

It's still in beta, so I'm mainly looking for people willing to try it against real Terraform repositories.

I'd especially like feedback on:

• What breaks
• What feels confusing
• Terraform patterns it doesn't handle well
• Whether the lineage view is actually useful
• Features you'd want before using something like this regularly

Issues, criticism, and feature suggestions are all welcome.

If anyone tries it on a real world Terraform codebase, I'd be interested to hear how it behaves.
