I (23F) found out my boyfriend (25M) took sexual pictures of me while I was asleep

I found out today that my boyfriend took sexual pictures of me while I was asleep without my knowledge or consent. In some of them he is focusing on my body so they are sexual in nature, and there's also pictures where he is touching me while I was asleep.

I'm really confused about how to process this because I love him, but part of me doesn't feel quite right. It also feels weird even thinking of him as someone who may have sexually assaulted me. I think part of what is confusing me is that I still have clothes on in some of the pictures, so I keep questioning whether what happened is serious enough to be considered sexual assault. At the same time, I was asleep. I couldn’t consent to what was happening, I can’t remember any of it because I was unconscious, and I know I never agreed to any of this.

Would this be considered sexual assault? I'm sorry that I'm all over the place, but I'm genuinely asking because I'm having a hard time understanding what happened to me.
