song and spoken word mixing combo?

helllooooo fellow kings, queens, royals, and creatures! I'm getting back into performing (yay!) and I'm more creative with more to say than before (YAY!), but I have a HUGE blocker and it's that all the numbers in my head are multiple songs with lines in between them. I am not a DJ. I am not a music producer. I do have a bunch of podcast editing experience, but it's tedious and doesn't seem like the best route.

what do you use to make your mixes? bonus points if it's cheap and/or free. I'm not asking about how to grab the music or clips, but if there's tips there I will never say no! I am worried that this hindrance is going to become a blocker so I'm trying to push through it, and if nobody has recs on software/sites/etc I'll also take advice on letting go of my idea of only being able to perform to the "perfect mix"
