When is the right time to buy a car, to maximize on discounts?

I have been window shopping for cars for the past three months, and now I am considering buying a new car (not sure which one exactly, but shortlisted a couple of cars).

I am in no rush, ideally I want a car before January end, or mid February. When is the right time to buy a car to maximize on discounts?

During Dusshera / Diwali sale?

Before New Year?

Or after New Year (January or February next year), since I may get additional discounts for a 2026 manufactured vehicle.
