Long ago, the sky held not only ordinary stars but also Soul Stars. If a human with great determination finds one of these stars in the real world, the energy of their desire tears through reality, opening a gateway to another world...

The Strange World is not a bad place; rather, it is a reflection of the human's desires. It comes to life based on things the boy has imagined and enjoys—and even things he dislikes! However, if the Strange World is not closed within a few hours, the Dark World could cause a massive imbalance, plunging both worlds into chaos.

Should this chaos occur, both worlds will lose their color. Only one thing can save them: a trio of heroes—a human from the other world, a monster, and a wizard—along with the Star itself, are destined to close the Strange World and restore balance to both realms.

The boy discovers he has been chosen to bear the Astral Rune Star. He must explore this New World, befriend the new inhabitants that have appeared there, and decide whether to become the hero of both worlds or send another human to this realm instead.
