6 Week PP Pain During Sex

I am hoping to see if others have had a similar experience to mine in regards to sex postpartum.

I am 6 weeks postpartum and tried having sex twice now. Both times (a few days apart) it hurt A LOT. But only at the half way point. Almost like something very sensitive was blocking anything from gothing any further. Not like a tightness (husband said it felt the same as before) but like a block. It was too painful to push past that point.

I am so worried something is wrong and felt no improvement from the first time we tried to a few days later. I figured I could have 6 right at the 6 week mark since I had a C-section.

I cannot find much information online which makes me think it's not common to have pain like this at this point. My 6 week followup is not for another week and a half (about 8 weeks postpartum).

Has anyone else experienced pain like this during sex? Did it go away? How long did it take? What was wrong?
