Is dlss 5 actually safe to use?

Ive heard that the rtx 5090 cards had their power cable ports melted due to huge power consumption and heat. When checking my 5070 it showed a power draw of 265w even in less demanding games, and it kind of turned me off using dlss5 for a while. Did anyone experience any similar issues?
