Mcdonalds (USA)
definitely a weird question right off the bat, but do ADA laws apply at Mcdonalds franchises in the states? I have a severe math disability and on Friday I got absolutely fucked in back drive (everyone was paying w big bills, taking their time digging around for cash and coins when the drive thru was already wrapped around the store itself) and I was simultaneously taking both lanes. I don't know how but my drawer got short by at least a relevant enough amount and I have to pay it back. (I promise I promise I'm not stealing, I just legitimately cannot do internal math while under pressure whatsoever). When I first got hired in I informed my GM of this immediately and even had a note from my healthcare provider brought in to legitamitize it. I had an IEP for my entire middle and high school careers. I've requested numerous times to not be put back there during rushes for this exact reasoning, but no dice. I know EVERY other service position yet i'm the ONLY one who never gets rotated around. We have another service worker who can only do window, and management honors that completely. I've tried to stress this because it happens EVERY god damn time and they won't LISTEN. Is there any ADA policies that protect employees from getting punished because of a disability they have that impacts their work?
