Eviction notice

A family member has been given 90 days notice to vacate a property via WhatsApp. They’ve been living there a whole (not sure of the time but it’s at least 5 years) and have never once missed a rent payment or caused any issues.

Their landlord has stated that their own landlord is kicking them out of their current property and therefore need to move back within 90 days.

They messaged my family member this evening on WhatsApp with the above details. I’ve tried googling but can’t seem to find clear guidance (and I’m not trusting AI). Do they have any options regarding this? Please help if you can! :)
