Game Title:
Playable Link: Play: https://john-van-eck.itch.io/embercourt
Platform: Browser, Android and soon Windows native (Steam)
Description: I’ve collected Magic since I was nine — coming up on 35 years — and I burned a lot of hours in Hearthstone. Embercourt is the first game I’ve actually shipped. Solo, in development, playable in the browser.
It’s a dark-fantasy card game. The class you sit is the game: Focus, Fortify, Sap, Ink, or Soul. Same board, five different economies. Commander is a wall that grinds. Hexwright plays contracts on a docket, not just cards from hand. Gravebound treats the yard as part of the deck.
The itch page is a free demo. You drop in as Commander, no account wall. Practice vs the Court, Court Run comming soon, packs and collection. Save the seat if you want to keep progress and unlock one extra class. Playing versus friends or the AI and on the ladder works.
I’m looking for people who actually play card games to tell me where it feels cheap, confusing, or like a clone. That’s more useful to me than “looks cool.”
Free to play (Demo).
