Stereo Loops Recording Question

ADP Friends,

YO!

This has likely been discussed in detail somewhere already, please forgive.

Vols. I and II feature highly articulated stereo panning of individual guitar loops and effects. I assume Khn's looper is capable of stereo output (as I've used similar pieces of equipment), but in the recordings, there's a lot of control over what loops are placed where in the stereo field, and lots of variety in how hard they're panned L/R.

Doing this with your feet, live to tape, would be (?) impossible (?) (for humans)

So my question is if some of the guitar parts were looped separately, as opposed to 100% live? Or maybe there was an engineer doing manual live panning during the recordings? All theories (and facts) welcome.

I am also a huge fan of the little screams of delight you can faintly hear in these recordings, especially after particularly blistering solos.

Thanks to the ADP community for being such a positive and supportive group!
