how do corporate girlies afford to not look feral right now.
i am genuinely at my breaking point with my morning routine. renting a shoebox in the sydney cbd is completely draining my accounts and i had to cut back my weekly salon blowouts just to afford groceries.
it sucks so much because i still have to show up to the office looking put together. client meetings mean i cant just rock up in a messy bun.
so i went back to my old routine of blasting my hair with a heavy hairdryer and then going over it with a straightener. my arm is literally dead by 7:30am every single day. plus my ends are completely cooked from the double heat damage. my hair feels so dry and brittle when i brush it now and going to a stylist to fix the breakage is way too exxy.
everyone keeps saying to just drop a grand on a dyson but who actually has that kind of money lying around right now. all my spare cash goes to rent, groceries, and just trying to maintain a normal social life. it feels like there is no middle ground between totally roasting your hair with cheap irons and spending stupid money.
i was just exhausted and ended up caving on this magic hair 5 in 1 pro thing last month purely to stop juggling tools. the website was a bit suss and the auto wrap thing definitely pulls if you take sections that are too big. airflow isnt premium obviously but it dries and shapes at the same time so my mornings are slightly less miserable.
just hoping the motor actually survives past christmas.
