Recently moved into a new house simple two bed 1.5 bath

I was so happy about this. Until about a week ago when I started bringing my stuff over and there was hundreds of roaches running when I cut the light on. Im pretty sure they're German roaches. There's thousands or maybe more but I see them everywhere. I cannot find out how to kill them we tried raid, we tried these different powders. A exterminator isn't really a option at the moment because im down 1300 for this house. I want them gone
