Lifestyle influencers are actively warping the minds of young adolescents with toxic consumerism and fake empowerment.

Let's be completely honest for a second. A massive chunk of adult lifestyle and beauty creators are doing genuine psychological damage to young adolescents, and nobody wants to call them out.

They hide behind the shield of "empowerment" and "self-care," but their entire brand is a masterclass in hypocrisy. Here is the actual damage they are causing:

  • Hyper-Consumerism Dressed as "Self-Care": Pumping out endless GRWM videos, luxury skincare routines, and rapid-fire clothing hauls while telling 13-year-olds it's all about "loving yourself." Translation: feel insecure enough to buy whatever is in the description box so creators can cash their affiliate checks.
  • The "Relatable Best Friend" Illusion: Building an empire on pretending to be the unbothered, authentic companion, while living a heavily filtered, fake reality. They leave young adolescents comparing their normal, unedited lives to a monetized fiction, completely destroying their self-esteem.
  • Toxic Dating & Relationship Rot: Relationship and dating content has devolved into a superficial mess. Instead of teaching healthy emotional boundaries, they push a warped, transactional version of gender dynamics that breeds pure hostility and social friction among impressionable viewers.
  • Zero Accountability: Pushing kids to overshare and chase validation online for clout, only to cry about "internet toxicity" the second real consequences hit, leaving their young audience completely unequipped to handle the fallout.

They preach independence and growth while actively cashing in on adolescent insecurity.

Change my mind.
