MSc CS graduate, 250+ applications, no interviews — considering SWE consultancy programs
Hi everyone,
I recently graduated with an MS in CS from a lower-ranked university in California. I’ve been applying for entry-level SWE positions for the past couple of months and have submitted 250+ applications, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any interview calls.
I’m now considering joining a software consultancy/placement program to improve my chances of landing an entry-level SWE role. I’m mainly looking for entry-level SWE opportunities in Washington State or remote positions.
Has anyone here had firsthand experience with any of these programs?
- Axis Careers LLC
- Outlier Mentors by Anna Miller
- SynergisticIT
- SWE Accelerator by Aman Manazir
- Wolf Technologies LLC
- Netbounce Placement
I’d especially appreciate hearing from people who have actually joined one of these programs. I’m interested in hearing about the training, projects, job placement, fees, and whether you were able to get a SWE job afterward.
