Sore throat after night of drinking

I am 23M. I drink 3-4 times a week and I sleep with a fan. For the past week every time I drink the next day my throat really hurts. The day after i don't drink my throat is fine. I used to drink every night with the fan on and nothing ever happened. What's the sudden change? I drink water normally
