Kingdom Come Universe reading order

Hi! I'm getting back into comics, and revisiting some of my favorite stories I've read as a younger kid/teenager. My absolute favorite comic story arc of all time was JSA: Thy Kingdom Come to the point where I've picked up all 3 omnibuses to read the entire story leading up to that point, as I understand that arc happens towards the end of the run. Before I get to Thy Kingdom Come, I would like some backstory on the Kingdom Come universe and the specific reading order I should be reading them in.

I picked up the Kingdom Come & The Kingdom graphic novels this weekend. Which order do I read them in? And I also remember seeing somewhere that the Justice run (the one with Alex Ross art) or Crisis on Infinite Earths were precursors to Kingdom Come as well? Do I need to read those too to understand the story of that universe? TIA
