What are your favorite little luxuries that make everyday life feel more old fashioned?
I’ve been thinking lately about how much I love those little things that make an ordinary day feel a bit more special and not necessarily expensive things, just things that feel good/intentional and a little old-fashioned or grandma-y lol. My current favorite is having custom stationary for notes and letters to send via USPS. I am obsessed with this set and putting it on my Christmas list.
I’m trying to bring more of that feeling into my everyday routine, and I’d love to hear what everyone else does! Trying to feel a little fancier in little ways :)
Some things I’ve been considering/using:
- Cloth napkins at everyday meals instead of paper ones (but how do you go about washing them?)
- A pretty bar of hand soap by the kitchen or bathroom sink (but do people prefer pump hand soap?)
- A decorative tray for perfume, hand cream, etc.
- A pretty tea towel that I don’t mind leaving out LOVE these but they are pricey, yikes
- Small bud vases with flowers from the grocery store
- A covered dish or little bowl for jewelry on the nightstand
- A candle or room spray that makes the house feel cozy even when nothing special is happening. What is your favorite scent??
What are your favorite little luxuries? I’d especially love to hear about things that are inexpensive but somehow make your home/life feel 10x more lovely. Help me elevate my life!!
