When did your baby sleep independently?

Parents who have babies who only contact nap and cosleep when did they finally sleep independently? My son is 9 months old and hates sleeping in his crib I’ve tried everything and he just refuses to sleep independently. I’m okay with it now because his comfort is most important to me. But I also don’t want him to rely on contact napping. Cosleeping is perfectly fine with me I love having my baby by my side but I’m most concerned with holding him for every nap.
