Victorious

I am Man

17 years in a monster mask

did not define me.

31 years of unimaginable pain

could not destroy me.

I am Here

I refused to let them erase me;

my heart knew what was true.

They would try to kill my future

yet I would still continue.

I am Me

They tried to take my identity

but my mind, it persisted.

They tortured my fragile soul,

but my spirit, it resisted.

I am Done

I was a child, neglected and abused;

I gave it everything I could.

They said I was wrong and sinful, then accused

a boy who is autistic, gay, and good.

I am Safe

I fought the demons, I walked through fire

and forced open the burning gate.

I rejected a liar's prophecy,

then I rewrote my own fate.

I am Back

I have conquered Hell;

victorious I now stand.

I'm not an Artificial Monster;

I am a good and genuine man.
