Is this ibs?
Yes I know I will be going to a doctor next month even tho I’ve gone already multiple times to no avail (Canadian health care so sounds about right) I’ve started going to the hospital for stomach related problems since I can honestly remember started in 4th grade and I’m now 19 and nothings changed. I go through phases of constipation for weeks then liquid diarrhea after it all comes out. certain foods trigger me so much that I have a list on my phone of things I allow myself to eat and stay away from. I just moved away again for my second year of university and am currently in a really bad state. I’ve had diarrhea everyday being here had to leave multiple lectures for the bathroom and have cried myself to sleep every night here. I’m at a loss. I’ve been eating extremely bland foods for about 9 days (rice cakes, saltine crackers dry cereal) I then just tried to venture out to something new and it’s all back again. If it’s not ibs i honestly don’t know what to do. I’ve been told I have chronic constipation so I did what they said it wasn’t that, I’ve been told I’m lactose intolerant tried that still there I’ve even cut out meat and dairy at the same time and it’s still here. I’ve cut out fast food and I still have problems I feel like I’m getting no real nutrients cause everything sends me into flare ups. And I know I giving this example and one flare up doesn’t mean ibs but this has been an ongoing trend of phases for years and I have seen so many doctors went to hospitals and I just feel uncared about in the healthcare system it always seems like they have worse people to take care of and I’ve been brushed off for years.
Sorry if that turned into a rant at the end any information is useful and helpful and who’s better to ask then the people suffering this it everyday. Thanks!!
