Is tapioca toxic for birds or not?

I keep seeing lots and lots of conflicting information online about whether or not tapioca is toxic to birds.
I picked up some rice noodles for my parrot the other day, I didn’t look into the ingredients too much because it’s the same brand that my birds former owners (I am her 4th owner) were occasionally feeding her as well, with no issue.

I made a big batch of it with boiled vegetables and fed it to her throughout the week. It wasn’t until I was looking through lists of more vegetables I could add to the mix that I discovered tapioca (an ingredient in vermicelli rice noodles) is listed as a very big no-no on food safety lists, but the further I look into it, the more it seems people can’t really agree and are instead passing along the information with a “better safe than sorry” mindset. One person went as far as to say that the only reason it’s “bad” for birds is just that it’s low in nutrition, and not toxic at all, with others saying it’s so highly processed in noodles that the toxin has all been removed, while still others claim that it’s dangerous in any amount and will harm the bird.

I’m now too paranoid to feed it to her any longer, just in case, but the fact stands that she did eat it many times without any issues, no sickness, no change in stool. The only change at all is that she now demands it and gets grumpy if there’s no noodles with her dinner.
For context if relevant, this is a Quaker parrot/Monk parakeet, so certainly not a very large bird that would stand up to being poisoned.

Does anyone know a genuinely reliable expert source that isn’t just a forum of people arguing over it?
