Camera views recall

I have a 2021 cayenne that just recently went out of warranty. Dealer applied the software patch for the recall. Camera views are now experiencing intermittent failures. They’re suggesting a wiring replacement for $thousands, and the recall only covers the software patch? Called Porsche Customer Service and they’re saying it’s no longer under recall and can’t issue a goodwill adjustment with a car out of warranty.

Maybe it’s just me - but is it not weird that the Porsche dealer isn’t fixing something that’s been recalled?? Would love to get input on this to help me better understand this and whether I should go to another dealer to fix under recall or if this is standard practice.
