Best flower items?

I've been doing a Pacifist Run. I don't know which 3 to pick. Up to this point, my main philosophy has been "defense over everything" since reducing damage taken and survival is ultimately the most important during pacifist runs, save for instances like the Knight where fighting is required. I'll probably go with the blue shoes, and the green apron. As for the last one... I'm torn between the Tough Gloves (8 DF) and the Yellow Hat. The Yellow Hat's effect is really good, has good offesne, but it only has 4 defense, less than the Netskie Hat. The Orange Gloves has a useless effect, but 8 whole DF and 4 attack. Should I get the Yellow Hat, or the Orange Gloves? Should I swap out any of the items I'm taking?
