Is this a dating scam? She keeps insisting on meeting at one specific restaurant.
matched with someone on a dating app and after a short conversation she immediately started insisting that we meet at one particular restaurant. She doesn't seem interested in any other location and keeps redirecting the conversation back to that place.
There are a few things that feel unusual:
Very eager to meet quickly.
Refuses alternative venues.
Strong focus on that specific restaurant.
Limited personal conversation before suggesting the meetup.
I've heard about scams where people are connected to restaurants, bars, or clubs and pressure dates into spending large amounts on food or drinks.
Has anyone experienced something similar? What red flags should I look for before agreeing to meet? Am I being overly cautious, or does this sound suspicious?
Thanks for any advice or experiences.
