Best Backup Card to Amex Cobalt

Hello!

I currently have an amex cobalt card and I’m looking for a good backup card to use at places that don’t accept amex. I would say I spend around $250 monthly that’s not on my amex, mostly on restaurants and groceries.

Some more background info: open to either cash back or travel point cards, open to an annual fee, under 80k income threshold for higher tier cards (not sure if this matters too much), credit score is slightly above 800

Some credit cards I’m currently looking into are:
- MBNA World Elite Mastercard
- Neo World Elite Mastercard
- BMO CashBack World Elite Mastercard

- Rogers Red World Elite Mastercard (but not a rogers member)
- Wealthsimple Visa Inifinite (under the $100k in assets)

I’d appreciate any recommendations for options and why!

Additionally, I tend to spend most of those groceries at costco which is why I’m leaning more towards a mastercard.

I’ve been doing research and saw that costco tends to not be part of the “groceries” when being coded for cash back which is annoying. Not sure if that’s the same with their gas, let me know if you have info on that!
