Completed a Todo Web App in vanilla JS with localStorage persistence, date timestamps, and task deletion controls

Hey devs!

Wanted to share a milestone from today's coding sprint: I officially completed a working Todo Web Application using pure HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript.

Key Implementations:

Client-Side State Persistence: Used localStorage.setItem() and localStorage.getItem() alongside JSON.stringify() / JSON.parse() to ensure tasks persist when refreshing or closing the browser.

Task Deletion: Attached click listeners to individual delete buttons for every task item, updating both the DOM and the underlying localStorage array.

Date Metadata: Attached dynamic creation timestamps so each task displays the date it was added.

Building out simple CRUD operations with persistent state in plain JS is an excellent way to understand what frameworks are doing under the hood.

For those learning or mentoring: Do you prefer teaching localStorage first or jumping straight into backend APIs / databases when introducing data persistence? Would love to hear your perspectives!
