What’s your braid/cornrow schedule like?

I’ve been rocking pretty basic 6 straight-back cornrows for about 6 months now and honestly really enjoy the style.

My routine has basically been 3 weeks braided, 2 weeks out, then repeat. It comes out to around $100/month on average (I am SF Bay Area), which isn’t terrible, but it did make me wonder how everyone else does it lol.

For those of you who regularly wear cornrows/braids, how long do you usually keep them in? How much time do you give your hair/scalp to rest before getting them done again? And how much are you spending on average?

Just curious what everyone’s routine looks like and whether 3 weeks in / 2 weeks out is pretty normal or if I’m going overboard 😂
