[Toronto] Adding hourly private meeting/work rooms to a café concept — what features make them viable for local small businesses?
As a café operator in Midtown Toronto, we recently built out dedicated private rooms to rent by the hour for local professionals, freelancers, and small business owners needing satellite meeting or call space.
To other Canadian business owners and hybrid workers:
When booking third-party hourly rooms for client meetings or calls, what are your non-negotiables (e.g., monitor displays, acoustic panels, coffee included)?
What booking friction usually stops you from using independent local spaces over traditional co-working chains?
Appreciate any insights from fellow operators and remote professionals!
