Dishwasher with new baby
I’m currently 7 months pregnant and we just moved into a new (110 year old!) home. The dishwasher is 7 years old and doesn’t clean particularly well. We rinse and often soak our dishes before putting the in and they still come out with dried on food deposits. Plus the top rack is falling out. It may just need a deep clean and a replacement screw or two, but I’m still thinking of replacing it rather than putting in that work since it seems like 7 years is towards the end of the lifespan of a Samsung anyway. Here are my questions. Is it silly to replace it? With the new baby, I’d really like to be able to use our dishwasher to clean, sanitize and dry bottles and pump parts. I know Bosch dishwashers are generally considered the most reliable but they don’t have bottle jets whereas GE dishwashers do- and bottle cleanliness is really a top priority. What should I go with? Also, budget is definitely a factor but if I’m going to get 5 more years out of a Bosch by spending a couple hundred more dollars, that seems like the smarter financial decision in the long run. Thanks for your guidance!
